T-10 Class President's Letter

I would like to personally Welcome everyone to the T-10 One-Design Class.

Over the last 10 years I have had the pleasure of owning a Tartan Ten and racing in one of the best one design classes on the great lakes. I’m proud of what we have been able to accomplish over the years with strong and competitive racing events.

A few things to consider when looking at the T-10. First and foremost it is affordable for anyone looking at a 33’ sailboat. Class rules allow only 2 sails a year. The boat is trailerable, and easy to set up. They are family friendly and have a spacious layout. The boat is a great way to sail with 6-7 of your closest friends. The members are helpful and always willing to lend advice on how to make the boat sail better.

As the class continues to grow, I encourage everyone to explore all our sanctioned events. We offer regattas on Lake Erie, Lake Michigan and Lake St. Clair. These events are open to all members of the class in good standings with a wide range of skill levels. We are run by a board of directors that work hard to maintain the one design rules yet encouraging for anyone who wants to join.
